Openoffice e ficheiros .docx

Boas. Pessoal gostava que me dissessem o que fazer quando se têm ficheiros com a nova extensão .docx criados no word 2007 e os quiserem abrir com o openoffice (o qual eu tenho a ultima versao 2.3).
Eu tentei instalar uma extensão da Novell mas mesmo assim não dá pois a extensão dá erros a instalar e mesmo depois de concluir não abre os ficheiros. Existe outra maneira para o openoffice ou mesmo algum programa livre à parte que pelo menos converta os docx em doc normais para que assim o openoffice já os abrisse. Obrigado.

Docx is the new “improved” document format of Office 2007. Lately I am getting a nice influx of these formatted documents, yet the problem is, OpenOffice doesn’t really support it. But you can make it support it with a few minutes of your time!I am going to take for granted you are using Ubuntu, so first off
let’s grab alien, an rpm to deb converter

sudo apt-get install alien

Grab yourself the Odf converter, from here.

Now lets convert it like this:

alien -ct odf-converter-1.0.0-5.i586.rpm

You will end up with a .tgz version

Extract it to a directory, then go into it.

Now its time to copy a few files to allow us to open up our .docx file./

sudo cp usr/lib/ooo-2.0/program/OdfConverter /usr/lib/openoffice/program/

sudo cp usr/lib/ooo-2.0/share/registry/modules/org/openoffice/TypeDetection/Filter/MOOXFilter_cpp.xcu /usr/lib/openoffice/share/registry/modules/org/openoffice/TypeDetection/Filter/

sudo cp usr/lib/ooo-2.0/share/registry/modules/org/openoffice/TypeDetection/Types/MOOXTypeDetection.xcu /usr/lib/openoffice/share/registry/modules/org/openoffice/TypeDetection/Types/

Go ahead and open up your .docx files and viola! Openoffice is now .docx compatible

Existe também um "conversor" (20$)...mas não experimentei.

Faz o download do file Download Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File Formats

After downloading and installing FileFormatConverters.exe you can convert any docx file to doc by right click a docx file in Windows Explorer and selecting "Open". I gave it a try myself. It works even without an MS Office Installation on Windows XP.
