DDR3-2000 memory spotted
Computex 007 Clockin' down like there's no tomorrow
TEAM GROUP IS a name we have not heard before, but these guys have been receiving some serious praise from some of the world's best overclockers who have gathered here in Taipei. We dropped down to their booth and spooted a DDR3-2000 module and a DDR2-1333.
Although many of the lesser known manufacturers are using tricks to get the attention from media, these guys put out a strong message to other DDR3 manufacturers who have only begun to roll out DDR3-1066 and DDR3-1333 modules. These guys have disclosed the components required for using their DDR3-2000 parts with a live demo, so we'll see where this ends up.
We have to inform you that DDR3 is around a year away from mainstream acceptance, so we would advise you to rather shell that cash for 8800GTS 640MB or HD2900XT, but if speed is your thing, the blokes from Team could prove to be the real ticket for you. If you prefer DDR2 memory, they have DDR2-1300 as well. The only problem is thinking of a computer case that can fit Thermal Rights' cooling.
