Help...Death... Upgrade a bios e a Board pifou

Bem pessoal tou a procura de ajuda é que ao fazer um upgrade á bios da minha Iwill ela não reagiu mt bem e a cena bloqueou ou seja a bios foi-se.
Agora como ponho aquilo outra vez bom
A história toda:
Comprei um disco de 80g mas o winxp não instalava provavelmente porque a board tinha probs de compatibilidade com o disco e eu feito "inteligente" instalei o ME e saquei a mais recente Bios para ela no site da Iwill como a minha board é o modelo mais antigo V1.1 saquei esse e saquei o Awd flash da net mas a versão devia ser recente de mais pois não correu mt bem e bloqueou o processo de upgrade.
Agora a motherboard não arranca mas noto que a drive de disquetes começa a ler se tiver uma disquete enfiada.
Ainda é possivel salva-la?

Se fores ao manual da tua board (pressuponho que é a DBS100), que podes sacar o pdf aqui, encontras na página 27, no ponto 3.1.2 o seguinte:

3.1.2 Recovering BIOS Data

Some types of failure can destroy the BIOS. For example, the data can be lost if a power outage
occurs while the BIOS being updated in flash memory. The BIOS can be recovered from a diskette.
To create a BIOS recovery diskette, a bootable diskette must be created and the recovery files
copied to it. The recovery files are available from Iwill.
Note: No video is displayed during the recovery process.

Terás que procurar pelos Recovery files...

Sugiro-te que cries uma diskette de boot (DOS, win98 ou ME), e que copies para lá o awdflash e a bios... não sei se não terás que configurar alguma autoexec.bat ou qq coisa do género...

Já agora, sugiro que confirmes que versão da board é que tens...
E que utilizes o awdflash que vem dentro do package para cada uma das boards...

Eis a maneira de recuperar as bios, se forem ou Award ou Ami...

Recovering a Corrupt AMI BIOS chip
With motherboards that use BOOT BLOCK BIOS it is possible to recover a corrupted BIOS because the BOOT BLOCK section of the BIOS, which is responsible for booting the computer remains unmodified.
When an AMI BIOS becomes corrupt the system will appear to start, but nothing will appear on the screen, the floppy drive light will come on and the system will access the floppy drive repeatedly.
If your motherboard has an ISA slot and you have an old ISA video card lying around, put the ISA video card in your system and connect the monitor.
The BOOT BLOCK section of the BIOS only supports ISA video cards, so if you do not have an ISA video card or your motherboard does not have ISA slots, you will have to restore your BIOS blind, with no monitor to show you what’s going on.
AMI has integrated a recovery routine into the BOOT BLOCK of the BIOS, which in the event the BIOS becomes corrupt can be used to restore the BIOS to a working state. The routine is called when the SYSTEM BLOCK of the BIOS is empty.
The restore routine will access the floppy drive looking for a BIOS file names AMIBOOT.ROM, this is why the floppy drive light comes on and the drive spins. If the file is found it is loaded into the SYSTEM BLOCK of the BIOS to replace the missing information.
To restore your BIOS simply copy a working BIOS file to a floppy diskette and rename it AMIBOOT.ROM, then insert it into the computer while the power is on. The diskette does not need to be bootable or contain a flash utility. After about four minutes the system will beep four times. Remove the floppy diskette from the drive and reboot the computer.
The BIOS should now be restored.

Recovering a Corrupt AWARD BIOS

With AWARD BIOS the process is similar but still a bit different. To recover an AWARD BIOS you will need to create a floppy diskette with a working BIOS file in .BIN format, an AWARD flash utility and an AUTOEXEC.BAT file.
AWARD BIOS will not automatically restore the BIOS information to the SYSTEM BLOCK for this reason you will need to add the commands necessary to flash the BIOS in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file. The system will run the AUTOEXE.BAT file, which will in turn flash the BIOS. This is fairly easy. Here are the steps you need to take.

· Create a bootable floppy diskette
· Copy the BIOS file and flash utility to the diskette
· Create an text file with any standard text editor and add the following lines

FLASH763 BIOSFILE.BIN /py

In the above example I am assuming that you are using the FLASH763.EXE flash utility. You will need to replace the FLASH763 with the name of whatever flash utility you are using, and replace the BIOSFILE.BIN with the name of the BIOS file you are using. You will also need to change the ‘/py’ to whatever the command is for your flash utility to automatically program the BIOS without user intervention.
If you do not know the command to automatically flash your BIOS type the name of the flash utility with a space and then /? to display the utility’s help screen. The help screen should specify the command switch to automatically flash your BIOS. If you are using the FLASH763.EXE utility
then the switch to automatically flash your BIOS is ‘/py’.

Boas ,isso já me aconteceu depois de um flash da bios e recuperei a minha board a 100%.
Cá vai:

1º Arranja um placa gráfica PCI e insere-a no pc(desliga todas as placas k tenhas , ficas só com a gráfica pci) ,

2ºVai ao site da tua board e saca a ultima bios k encontrares para a tua board.

3ºVai a bootdisk.com e cria uma diskette de arranque do dos , e depois de criada copia para lá o ficheiro da bios k sacaste e o programa de flash k usas.

4ºArranca o pc com a diskette lá metida e no prompt do dos entra no programa de flash , por exemplo awdflash.exe , e onde te pede por uma bios escreves a:\bios.bin (bios é o nome do ficheiro k vais flashar,por exemplo) e carregas enter.Ele vai perguntar se keres gravar a bios antiga , guarda no disco (se nao kiseres nao graves) e depois pergunta se keres flashar akela bios.Basta carregares S.

5ºQuando acabar o flash ele reinicia o pc (ou pede para reiniciar) e voilá , o pc já arranca.

Eu vou estar aki o dia todo por isso se tiveres duvidas diz...Comigo funcionou a 100% (estive 1 mês para arranjar a mobo).

P.S:Editei pq vi uma cena escrita em cima e k não concordo , isso de precisares de uma placa gráfica de slot ISA em principio está errado.
A placa k tu precisas é a k está definida na bios como placa VGA principal , por exemplo na minha mobo tem PCI ou AGP mas como o default é PCI tive de meter uma gráfica PCI para ter imagem já k fiz um clearCMOS.Se tiveres o livro de instruççoes vê qual é o tipo de placa predefinido.Se tiveres duvidas diz...

Pessoal obrigado a motherboard já funciona! Se não fossem voces...
Com um bocadito de um e do outro isto voltou a funcar agora só falta instalar o XP e ver se tá tudo ok com a board.
