NEC AD7173A - Problema!

Se tiveres o Windows Vista em DVD, mete-o a arrancar no arranque como se fosses instalar. Se ele detectar o DVD e quiser instalar o Vista é porque a drive está boa. Se não detectar então a parte óptica do DVD pifou e não há nada a fazer. Se tiver garantia envias para RMA, se já não tiver compras um novo.

seguiste as instruções que estão no readme à risca para flashar isso com o firmware original?

1. Connect drive to the secondary IDE channel as master or slave
2. Disconnect all slave hardware from IDE secondary channel (optional)
3. Use standard UDMA-2 IDE cable
4. Under Windows 2000 & Windows XP - login as administrator
5. If you are owner of an AD-7170A or an AD-5170A, please update without DMA mode (under WinXP & Win 2K in the device manager - "IDE ATA/ ATAPI controllers", you can switch from DMA to PIO mode)
6. Deactivate virusscanners, active desktop programs and packetwriting agents,
7. Do not turn off power during the updating process.

já agora, tenta tambem aceder em modo de segurança e flashar por lá. nao me lembro se foi com o ned ou com o liteon, mas uma vez tive de flashar assim.
