Isto é mais um bom golpe de markting aliás excelente.
Se a intel não aceitar as pessoas devem pensar que a intel tem medo da derrota, se aceitar perde e as pessoas ficam a saber que a AMD é realmente melhor.

Mas que grande jogada da AMD...
A INTEL vai sair a perder deste duelo, quer aceite o desafio ou não, os INTEL dual-core vão ser totalmente chacinados. Para mim, a INTEL não vai ter cara para aceitar o confronto.

AMD HAS DECIDED to take the war to Intel with a press release hitting out at its competitor.
With that in mind, at the last IDF, AMD challenged Intel to a "Dual Core Duel" pitting Opteron dual core chips versus Paxville dual core chips.

Judging from the scores Paxville posted, Otellini was wise to decline the generous offer.

But just when you thought it was all over, AMD has come out with a press release about the reasons for this generous decline.



Top 10 Reasons Intel will not Participate in the Dual-Core Duel

10. Tried to follow their own roadmap to get to the duel
9. Decided to take the "front-side bus" to the duel; got stuck in a bottleneck
8. The "Intel Inside" stickers they used to package the cores together keep melting
7. Too busy rearranging the deck chairs on the Itanic
6. "Hey, we don't expect anyone to actually buy these things!"
5. Didn't want to compete when they realized that the duel would involve actual "rules" of fair competition
4. They couldn't get a permit from the fire department to emit that much heat
3. No systems available yet - protective clothing used by manufacturers only safe for up to 149 watts
2. Dell told them they weren't allowed to participate

And the number one reason Intel won't accept the dual core duel:

1. Moore's Law has been replaced by "Paul's Paradox": the number of canceled products per year at Intel will double every year after the introduction of the AMD Opteron processor.

se a intel participar é com os novos cpu's a 65 nm e acreditam que, embora em stock nem por isso, tem grande perfomance com OC, e que OC que eles levam...

aqui podem ver este cpu... o homem ate ja pensa em atingir 8.5 ghz!!

vou esperar por eles pa ver o produto final...

A AMD já tá armada em campeã, a Intel tem um poder gigantentesco!!! A AMD que não abra os olhos não!!! A AMD tá a encostar á box porque está a vender bem!! Eles tem de inovar!!! Subir os clock's dava-lhes muita ajuda para com o publico geral, pois para eles o essencial é os clock's!!

o incrivel é cm o Intel + recente de topo, o 955EE, continua a perder para o AMD de topo, o Opteron 180. E são cerca de 4 meses de diferença.
