Intel recently announced to manufacturer that the upcoming 1333MHz FSB Conroe now belongs to new Core 2 Duo 6050 family, releasing at the same time as X38 (Bearlake X).
1333MHz FSB Conroe is also manufactured by 65nm process and using LGA775 interface. So, everything is the same besides the FSB and a new function added. In order to distinguish the new 1333MHz FSB models, Intel changed the third digit of the model number from 0 to 5, i.e. 6600 to 6650.
Until now, Intel just announced 3 1333MHz FSB Core 2 Duo models, including E6650 (2.33GHz/4MB L2), E6750 (2.66GHz/4MB L2), and E6850 (3GHz/4MB L2). Besides VT, ESIT, and XDBIT, the new models also have a new function added, Intel Trust Execution Technology (TXT). This new technology is proposed to enhance security level for Microsoft Vista.
