imagem pop up em javascript

Tive a procurar um código em javascript para fazer um pop-up com uma imagem. A intenção é ter uma série de thumbs e ao click do mouse, abrir uma nova janela, do tamanho da imagem, com a imagem, e sem os menus, a status bar (enfim.. só o botão pra fechar)... A janela de preferência deveria ser centrada.

Alguem sabe o código?

Boas,
consegues fazer isso muito simples atraves do dreamweaver, para alem do target ter de ser _blank as opcoes para nao mostrar o resto das coisas sao facilmente encontradas no google.

Setting hyperlink options
The purpose of this dialog box is to create a hyperlink.

To set the options for a hyperlink:
In the Text text box, enter the text to appear as a hyperlink in the document.
In the Link text box, enter the name of the file to link to, or click the folder icon to browse to and select the file.
In the Target pop-up menu, select the window in which the file should open in the Target text box.
The names of all the frames you’ve named in the current document appear in the pop-up list. If you specify a frame that doesn’t exist, when the document opens in a browser, the linked page loads into a new window that has the name you specified.

You can also select from the following reserved target names:

_blank loads the linked file into a new, unnamed browser window.
_parent loads the linked file into the parent frameset or window of the frame that contains the link. If the frame containing the link is not nested, the linked file loads into the full browser window.
_self loads the linked file into the same frame or window as the link. This target is the default, so you usually don’t need to specify it.
_top loads the linked file into the full browser window, thereby removing all frames.
In the Tab Index text box, enter a number for the tab order.
In the Title text box, enter a title for the hyperlink.
In the Access Key text box, enter a keyboard equivalent (one letter) to select the hyperlink in the browser.

Rapaz...
A tua maior dificuldade vai ser o tamanho da janela. Vais ter que criar com o tamanho da pic, mas se deres um nome à janela para que tenha aquela função de, ao clicar noutra foto, ela surgir-te novamente nessa janela que tinha a foto anterior, vais ter problemas com o redimensionamento dela. Ou mantens um tamanho fixo para a janela de modo a que incorpore todas as resoluções, ou vai ficar estranho...

PS - Obviamente que esta função é incompatível com o _blank.

para responder aos 2, Dr e Uran, bom, o que deves de fazer deve de ser algo do genero (agora nao me lembro de codigo mas se procurares um pouco chegas la)
vais fazer um html so para a janela, dentro dessa janela vais meter uma table de forma a que sempre que chames uma imagem essa seja aberto dentro da tabela fazendo com que a janela se redimencione consuante o tamanho da imagem, a parte de eliminares as barras e tal é bastante simples, so o que podera dar mais trabalho é o "encaixe" da imagem pois vais ter de chamar sempre dinamicamente cada imagem para a janela nova.
