Problems with E7205 and Radeon 9700 Pro have been reported since last november.
The famous technical document from INTEL about this chipset relating the AGP problem , and saying that they didin´t solve that bug has been known since december-january.
I bought two mobos P4G8X in november, and I have the Radeon 9700 Pro. In January I sold them to people with GF4 Ti 4600-4200.
They are very happy.
For me it was a nightmare.
Maybe you have been a bit distracted , with all due respect.
It was very suspicious that INTEL didn´t build any motherboard with this chipset.
For now, I´ll wait and see if AGP 8X (Radeon, fast-writes...) and Canterwood don´t have any problem, no more expensive impulsive purchases
The latest hardware , always have a little of beta-testing process.
But the bug in E7205, and Radeon, where INTEL knows the problem, is something beyond of beta-testing.
In the last INTEL IPI (people who integrates Intel products)Conference , someone asked about this problem, and the guy from INTEL said the we would have to wait for Canterwood (?).
This remembers me the motherboards with 820 chipset and the MCH issue. Then , INTEL , first , made a little program to test if the motherboard was suffering the problem, and finally ,called back all the motherboards (INTEL branded), and made a refund to all integrators.
When I bought the P4G8X, the motherboard had all the features we were waiting for, but after few days , the solutions were to reduce the capabilities in order to work properly with the Radeon.
I know that the motherboard with the GF4 Ti 4600, worked like a dream, so everyone thought that ATI Radeon chip was faulty, then appeared the INTEL document .Finally the problem was evident but the don´t warn you about this neither the manufacturer web, nor the mobo box.
When you pay 250€ in a motherboard that doesn´t work with full theorical specs, it´s not a beta-testin process, it´s a...

1. tVAL(min) Timing Is Not Meeting AGP 3.0 Specification
Problem: During simulation studies, it was determined that the AGP signals were not meeting the tVAL(min) of 1ns.
Implication: AGP interface is susceptible to latching invalid data.
Workaround: Minimum trace lengths for the AGP common clock and source synchronous signals have increased to offset this timing violation. Refer to latest platform design guide.
Status: No fix planned for this erratum. Issue resolved by board workaround.
2. AGP Prefetch Cache Must Be Disabled
Problem: System hangs can occur during AGP transactions when the AGP Prefetcher is enabled.
Implication: System hang.
Workaround: Disable AGP Prefetch Cache by clearing bit 0 of AGP Miscellaneous Register (Device 1 Function 0 Offset A0-A3h).
Status: No fix planned for this erratum. System performance is not affected by this erratum.
